Description:
Cape San Blas, in the Florida Panahandle, is located 50 miles SE of Panama City between Apalachicola & Port St. Joe & just 15 miles E of Mexico Beach. It was voted the #1 beach in the USA by Doctor Beach! Cape San Blas is 20 miles long and 10 of the 20 miles is St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, just outside of Barrier Dunes. The Cape does not allow highrise condo's so the beaches remain uncrowed and beautiful--but they do allow your dogs on the beach 24/7!
UPPER FLOOR:
King master suite with private, dedicated porch overlooking a fresh water lake with limited gulf view, full bathroom, cable TV with DVD player, ceiling fan, portable phone, and radio alarm clock.
Queen suite with private porch overlooking the lake, full bathroom and TV with VCR, ceiling fan, portable phone, and radio alarm clock.
Laundry Area: There is also a laundry area with a washer, drier, iron and ironing pad. We try to ensure that there is also laundry soap for your convenience.
LOWER FLOOR:
You will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining room with breakfast bar, half bath and a back deck overlooking the lake.
* Kitchen: Fully stocked with refrigerator with ice maker, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans, crock pot, crab crackers, waffle maker and a phone and an answering machine. We also supply many extras like spices, saran wrap, dish soap, dish detergent and more!
* Dining room: Seating for six with an additional 2 breakfast bar stools.
* Living room: Queen sleeper sofa, love seat, coffee table for playing games, cable TV, DVD, children’s video tapes, puzzles, games, cards and poker chips, books for all ages and a deck! There is also a window seat with custom cushion which allows for lots of extra light! Much of the artwork in the living room and dining room are original pieces of the area by a local artist!
* Full Deck Overlooking Fresh Water Fishing Lake: The deck includes chairs and end tables. You can fish in the fresh water pond without having to leave the deck (see picture below!). ** From comments in our guest book, you should bring an extra loaf of bread to feed the fish and turtle--this seems to be a hit with old and young alike!
Covered parking: Under the unit you will find covered parking for 2 cars. There is also a hot & cold shower for washing your sandy paws and toes, a hose for washing your boat and a retractable clothes line for all those wet beach towels! We also added a bench so you can enjoy watching the birds and turtles in the lake!
Little extra’s for the beach: For your convenience we have provided some extras that we hope clears some space in your car!!
Barrier Dunes is a gated, gulfside community that is pet and family friendly! There are 2 pools--one is gulf front and is approximately 200 steps from your front door! It also has lighted tennis courts, a playground, boardwalks & 3 fresh water fishing ponds--one directly outside the doors to The Cape Escape II--YES! You can fish from the back porch!!
Enjoy views of the lake from 2 of the 3 decks in this 2BR/2.5 bath townhouse with King and Queen bedrooms both with private porches &bathrooms as well as large deck off the living room! The kitchen is fully stocked and the living room is beautifully decorated with with additional sleeping space in a Queen Sleeper Sofa!
We want yor vacation to begin before you arrive, so to save you time and effort packing, we provide beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach cart, crab cage and casting net as well as all the comforts of home!
We try and ensure that The Cape Escape II is stocked with all the basics, including paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent and much more! Please see our web site for a complete list!
